Old and new partners interested in developing new quality practices in the field of Sign Language interpretation are welcomed to join the planning of IISE (Interpretation in International Settings in Europe). A transnational meeting for all those interested in cooperation will be held in Turku, Finland, 23.-24.3.2007. The SLATE website has now been launched in Czech, Dutch, Estonian and Finnish languages.

Ideas on future development are currently under discussions. A preparatory meeting for all those interested in SLATE-partnership 2007 onwards will be organised in Turku (FInland) in January/February 2007. More information will be available at this website in mid-December.

The END? SLATE project phase I will end on the 30th of September 2006.
Will there be continuation? Lots of new ideas and concrete plans have been developed for the future development of Sign Language Teaching that has now successfully started at SLATE. For more details, check the SLATE Future Aims.
